Novel traversable wormhole in general relativity and Einstein-Scalar-Gauss-Bonnet theory supported by nonlinear electrodynamics

Several traversable wormholes (T-WHs) of the Morris-Thorne type have been presented as exact solutions Einstein-nonlinear electrodynamics gravity, e.g., [A. V. B. Arellano et al., Gen. Relativ. Gravit. 41, 2561 (2009); K. A. Bronnikov, Int. J. Mod. Phys. D 27, 1841005 (2018); Bronnikov and R. Walia, Rev. 105, 044039 (2022); P. Ca\~nate N. Breton, 98, 104012 Classical Quantum Gravity 37, 055007 (2020); 101, 064010 (2020).]. However, none these is supported by a nonlinear model satisfying plausible conditions. In this work, we present first wormhole solution gravity coupled to self-interacting phantom scalar field with such that in limit weak becomes Maxwell electrodynamics. Furthermore, show novel T-WH spacetime also an Einstein-scalar-Gauss-Bonnet theory source, but now real having positive kinetic term.

We study the Lorentzian static traversable wormholes coupled to quadratic scalar fields. We also obtain the solutions of the scalar fields and matters in the wormhole background and find that the minimal size of the wormhole should be quantized under the appropriate boundary conditions for the positive nonminimal massive scalar field.
